The European Net of Cooperation and Development RECYD is a Spanish company created in 1998 which contributes since the beginning to International Cooperation for Development. As an actor in the area of international cooperation relations, RECYD encourages actively development and external aid in a central geographical area for Spanish external action: Cooperation in the Latin American area.

As a Spanish company of cooperation specially devoted to Latin America, RECYD takes this passionate challenge through the creation of an intermediate instance with service to institutions and actors that would like to strengthen and improve their practices in Latin American cooperation matters.

The Latin America- Europe Meetings offer an excellent platform of meeting between institutions, actors of states, the private sector of the two regions, to share experiences, encourage alliances, and promote cooperation projects of mutual interest.

The Latin America- Europe Meetings mean a strategic project that facilitates the exchange of experiences developed by Latin America and Europe. They offer as well an instance of dialogue between Diplomatic Representations accredited in the Kingdom of Spain. RECYD encourages actively cooperation, identification of new programmes.

We think that through these Meetings the already intense and growing relations of cooperation in the Latin American scope will be strengthened and enriched. An open space to diplomatic representations of Latin American and European countries accredited in Spain, and also, in a growing way to international organisms, institutions, and companies, actors in the area of international cooperation.

 

 

In these forum meetings between authorities and embassies in Spain, international institutions, as the European Commission, the General Latin America Secretariat (SEGIB) and other agents of international cooperation with the aim of exchanging experiences and identifying the aspects that can and should be improved.

In these meetings taking place last December, issues related with childhood and youth vulnerability were tackled. Coming soon will be cooperation and the environment. Actually, all these topics go together with the issues treated in the Latin American Summits who’s General Secretariat participates actively in the elaboration of the programme of these days.

In particular, energy, culture, cooperation in judicial matters, migration, sustainable development, will be issues of deep discussion within the next months.
